Regional Notes

Virgin Gorda is quieter than Tortola island, but a very popular destination. The geological feature called 'The Baths' can get crowded at times. The Baths are light-dappled beach pools and underwater caves, formed between massive granite boulders on the south-west tip of the island. Amateur geologists will also be interested in the malachite and quartz crystals that can be found here.
