Regional NotesCulebra is an island of 25 square miles, lying about 20 miles east of Puerto Rico. It is a territory of the US/Puerto Rico, and one of the first established nature reserves. (There are sea birds, turtles and lizards.) Culebra is a quiet vacation island, living by tourism and agriculture. It has no rivers or streams: all water is won from desalination. There are many beaches and smaller offshore islands that can be visited as day anchorages. Regional LinksThe Locations |
