RemarksPigeon Island (Ilet Pigeon) is on the west coast of Basse-Terre. A Yacht Service on VHF 68 ("Didier") will arrange most services, including water and provisions.
Local notesThe town ashore, behind Point Malendure, is Bouillante, which means 'boiling'. There are many thermal springs, providing free showers on the beach just south of Pigeon Island. Changing huts have been built here. The village of Pigeon is closer than Bouillante, but still some distance behind Point Malendure. Services to the anchorage are provided by a Yacht Service from Malendure.
