| Remarks | This marina caters mainly to the hire boats for Varadero, and is unlikely to have berths for transients. While clearing in is technically possible here, it is rarely done as the officials have to come from Acua Marina, and you pay for their transport: it is better to clear in at Acua itself. |

| Local notes | Varadero is a major beach resort east of Havana, with watersports, diving and western-style bars, restaurants, discos and nightclubs. However, Cubans except for service workers are kept away from the area. There is a pharmacy, hospital and post/telephone office. The bank on Calle 32 is one of the few in Cuba where cash can be obtained with a credit card. Supplies, however, are hard to find. Try the Varazul Hotel in Calle 15 for bread, fruit and butter. |
