| Remarks | This is a full-service marina, recommended as the best in Cuba. There is a medical clinic, pharmacy and post office nearby. The beach, Playa Sirena, is just outside the marina entry channel. Dollar stores can be found in hotels. Tourist buses give free rides on the island; bikes and horses can be hired outside hotels. As the marina gets very crowded, Mediterranean mooring will probably be required. |
| Dockside depth | 13ft |
| Local notes | Cayo Largo is a major tourist island off the south coast of Cuba. It is visited, mostly by non-Cubans, for its beaches, watersports, fishing and cruising. There are discos, bars and restaurants (but no Paladars, as there is no settled local community, only short-term workers). There are also crocodile and turtle farms, and tame iguanas on neighbouring Iguana Cay. From the airport it is possible to visit other parts of Cuba inexpensively. |
